Johnny Rockets, Eastwood Libis

I'm sorry if its a late post it took me a month again to post something here andike what I've said on my beauty blog, I am getting sick and tired with my stressful and boring work. NO time for my self, family and love life. I hope God will hear me out... Please answer my prayers!!! Anyway, back to my post.

Their ketchup trade mark!
As all you know Johnny rockets is an international food chain who serve original classic burgers and sandwiches. Eating at Johnny rockets feels like your in the 60's.

Tables, chairs, servings and decorations are so 1960's. Johnny rackets is open 24/7 here in the Philippines and every I pass by their restaurant in Libis I always saw their crew dancing outside their store and due to my curiosity I grab my partner again to try how good their burgers are. :)

Since we are just two, we tried their Bacon Cheddar with unlimited fries... since it is so thick and big we request to cut it into two.

As you can see it has thick bacon, cheddar cheese, fresh lettuce, ripe tomato, onion slice & special sauce....

Koppicino my best buddy in Habagat Days

Two  weeks ago, most of us experience how monsoon Habagat strikes. We got stuck in the house for a week, good thing there's electricity at least we can make calls and text our love ones.  And due to cold weather, Kopiko Koppicino keep me warm and ease my nervous while thinking about what will happen next.

Kopiko Kopiccino cost Php.8.00/sachet but if you'll buy it by 10's this will only cost you Php. 75.00 or Php.77.00.  I am a coffee lover but I seldom buy local coffee especially in sachet because it triggers my hyper-acidity, but with this coffee I never experience that again. Their coffee is not that strong compare to other brands and I love that taste. But I was wondering about the choco granules, I really don't know it's purpose, it taste the same with or without the granules.

I really recommend this coffee, been drinking this for 3 months now. I love drinking this for breakfast and mirienda.

How about you? Have you tasted it?

Cravings: Tokyo Tokyo Tonkatsu & Katsudon

Hello guys, sorry for being MIA for the 3 weeks I've been busy with my work lately, a lot adjustment of course with my new job and tummy excitement hits me again and I crave for Tonkatsu & Katsudon.

Since budgeting is my first priority as of this month to follow my craves i decided to eat at Tokyo Tokyo.

SUMO MEAL
Last week me and my partner shared Tokyo tokyo's sumo meal with Pork Tonkatsu and Beef misono for Php.265 for 2 person with rice and drinks. A budget friendly meal yah? and while browsing at their menu i just notice that they got a pork katsudon which hits my curiosity.

Yesterday I got a chance to taste their Pork Katsudon for Php.85 only. I don't want to compare this to Yabu katsu because Yabu uses Japanese rice and sauce is different. But tokyo tokyo really did a good job, a yummy and affordable katsudon.

Looking for a affordable Japanese food?

First time to taste Bibingkinitan

This is the 1st time I've tasted bibingkinitan's bibingka :) and i love it. This was actually a gift from Food Asia Corp. when we attend the bloggers event at bar-b-king and they also allow us to experience their new iced coffee.
Php. 20.00 each
Bibingkinitan's main product is their mini bibingka ( kaya nga bibingkinitan diba...) FYI: i know how to cook bibingka and i know how tiring and hard making a bibingka, every December our family never failed to sell bibingka especially if its already simbang gabi ( 9 days series of Masses before Christmas), it is tiring but its fun and after tasting Bibingkinitan's bibingka, i remember my mom.

So this is the one i am talking about, their iced barako for Php.45.00. I never tasted anything like this, i only drink hot barako but this one really taste good. Imagine for 45.00 pesos you can buy a good tasting pinoy coffee. So for those who haven't tried it yet better visit Bibingkitan now....

Another Magnum Experience

Like what i said on my 1st post about Magnum Classic, i'll be trying the 2 remaining flavor of Magnum ice cream. Since me and partner curiosity won't stop about magnum, she tried to grab 2 different flavors at 711.

Magnum Almond - I like this, i love the taste of almond, chocolate and vanilla ice cream.
Magnum Chocolate Truffle - taste like dark chocolate in short i don't like it.

These two ice cream cost 55php in 711, but you know what in Cebu, you can only buy these for as low as 20php, grabe... i don't know if its true but i had a friend who lives in Cebu who juts recently posted it in FB that this is for 20php only. Can some one please tell me if this is true????

I love the marketing strategy of Magnum, almost everyone in Ortigas is eating these, but i was wondering if they will last until the end of summer.

Tahoooooooooooooooo...

I remember sugar who just recently posted something about taho. which remind me of posting this.

This taho station is located in Robinsons supermarket. We actually bought a voucher from ensogo and it only cost us 15php or 25php for 2, i cannot really remember.

A extra large taho, which we didn't finish. But i still prefer to buy taho from MANG-TATAHO ( Taho vendor) because the taste is not that close.

How about you guys, when was the last time you've tasted taho?

Just got a MAGNUM experience

Just recently Selecta just released their new ice cream product Magnum here in the Philippines, but it was 1st launch in the US in 2011. Every one is taking about Magnum,  that's why my partner try to buy 2 classic flavor, just to feed our curiosity.Based on their commercial, you will be treated like a royal and they said it was made with Belgian chocolate.
Honestly speaking, i don't know what is the taste of Belgian Chocolate, but i love chocolate. as long as it was made by Hersheys and Lindt.

After tasting it, all i can say is i love the thick coated chocolate that's all. This ice cream cost 50 pesos, bought at 711 which i think its a good price. But i still choose to buy a gallon of ice cream so that i can share it with my family.

How about you guys, have you tasted it?

Food Trip: TGI Fridays Valentines Dinner

Ow yes we really have our dinner date at TGI Fidays in Robinson's Galleria. It was suppose to be a group dates with our BFF's and i don't know what hit there heads and decide not to go. Any way. After deciding on what shelves to buy, we end up buying clothes at St. Francis and some earrings from F21 which i posted here.

And for you information this is the first time i ate at TGI Fridays. So let me tell you my yummy experience. We order Jack Daniels Baby Back Ribs with Fries and Shrimp. I was expecting a different taste but i got disappointed after tasting it, the first thing that hits my mind is BIGBY's and Burgoo's. I love the other two's rib flavor than this one, but their shrimp taste better than the two.

me loves cooking

This platter cost Php. 935.00 which really cost a fortune and Bigby's ribs is much better that this. That's why instead of us ordering other dishes,  we just decided to stay long and have a chit chat. But at least we've tasted and wil not gonna go back here again and waiters their are not friendly.

This is just my opinion based on my experience. But this store has allot of customer and i bet allot of people really love their food and  maybe the taste of their food is not really my type. That's all ...

Food Trip: AA BBQ Cebu

me loves cooking
The Original AA BBQ is located in San Roque Cebu City, but they have allot of branches for you to choose from depending on your location.

This BBQ store was introduce to me by Gen, one of m beauty blogger friend who first went to Cebu to celebrate the Sinulog festival.

Though BBQ is not new to me, but i wanna try this since they said it has a different type of serving. It is like a self service  food house. You can grab as many as raw BBQ and place it on your plate, then you will give it to the attendant for them to grilled it.

Happy new year everyone! I hope you have a blast last new years eve. Me and my partner just stayed home and spend the whole New Year together. And for this new year to be more memorable, i made a special dish for he. I made 2 pasta, one is the same old same old red sauce pasta and the other one is Garlic Pasta with Chicken Diane. How i did it?... here we go.

For Pasta:

  • With a cooked pasta, i put olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
For Chicken:
  • I marinate this Chicken breast with salt, pepper, thyme and placed it on a foil for 2 hrs and friend it on a medium heat pan with butte and oil. Some say cooked it 4minutes on each side, but for me i like a well cooked chicken.
For Diane Sauce:
  • 3 tbsp of chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp of mustard
  • 2 tbsp cup of lime or lemon
  • 1/4 cup of chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup of thicken cream (optional )
  • brandy ( optional)
Direction:
  1. On a medium heat pan, add all the ingredients and stir it for 15 seconds.
  2. Serve the pasta, chicken and place the Diane sauce on the top of your chicken and you are done.
So there you go guys, hope you really like it. And have a grateful New Year to all!!!
